“What impact and ROI do the learning, training and development programs deliver to our organization.” This is a question that is asked regularly by executives and sponsors of training and learning programs. In the training and development space we are challenged to link those investments to meaningful and real business outcomes.
“We have 2,500 of our employees involved in our learning programs. The cost is about $13.00 per person and participants really enjoy the programs and rate the instructor at a high level” – all good data points that demonstrate good intent but on their own they are not sufficient to prove the impact they are having on the organization. Executives need to see the impact of the programs including the ROI.
